How to remove Wine Stains

Washable Fabrics

If you spill wine on your clothing or a tablecloth, blot it up immediately with an absorbent cloth, then sponge with club soda or cool water. If the fabric is washable, stretch the stained area over a pot secure with a thick rubber band put salt on fabric, and pour boiling water through from 1 foot above. If boiling water will harm the fabric just cover the stain with moistened salt. Wash normally with detergent.

Non Washable Fabrics

On non washable fabrics, cover the stain with a pad moistened with a mixture of detergent, water, and a few drops of white vinegar; then rise. Dry clean as soon as possible.

Carpet Stain

If red wine is spilled on your carpet, sponge it with club soda. Or absorb the wine; vacuum the residue. If a stain remains, wine gently with a solution of detergent, water, and a few drops of white vinegar.
